Engram

Persistent memory for AI coding agents — one brain, local or cloud.

Overview

Engram is an agent-agnostic, single-binary memory system for AI coding agents. Built in Go with SQLite + FTS5 full-text search, it gives Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, OpenCode, Gemini CLI and other MCP-compatible agents a persistent brain that survives session resets and context compaction. One binary, one SQLite file — no Node.js, Python or Docker required. Exposed through MCP, CLI, HTTP API and an interactive TUI, Engram stores curated project knowledge: decisions, bug fixes, conventions and handoffs, all searchable in milliseconds.
